Bruce Bauer Obituary

On April 24th, 2024, Bruce Evan Bauer passed peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones, after a long fight with COPD and other health issues. "With a heavy heart, I inform you that the Lord has called his angel home. Bruce Evan Bauer has ascended to heaven and earned his wings." At 4:09 P.M., he went home to the lord.  He was 67 years old at the time of his passing.  He is truly loved and missed by his loved ones and friends he met in life.

Bruce was born on June 17, 1956, to Leslie Bauer and Bernadette Bauer (Cronk) in Coon Rapids, Mn. He achieved his GED in 1991 in Bemidji, MN; in 1978, he met Cindy Morris (Bauer), and Bruce and Cindy (wife) married on January 5th, 1979. They had 3 Children together: Heidi (daughter), Jessie (son), and Jenny (daughter). Bruce and Cindy were married for 45 years.

During his life, he worked security at the casino and Target and as a clerk at Park and Go in Bemidji while attending an online college for computer programming.  He loved going to the local parks, grilling out, enjoying a brew or two, and watching the waves on the lakes while spending time with his wife, kids, and grandchildren, whom he loved more than anything.  Even though they would drive him crazy with all their TikTok videos while including him in some of them, you can still hear him telling his grandkids to stop twerking.  You could find Bruce sitting at his computer desk in his powerchair watching Law and Order or his most liked game show, “Deal or No Deal.”  If I can say one thing about Bruce, no matter how sick he was, he always ensured his family was good and had everything they needed daily.  He was one heck of a good man, and all that knew of him would tell you the same thing.

Bruce loved his family very much and liked to watch the Minnesota Vikings, Hockey, and the Twins. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He would talk to them all day long if they called him. He enjoyed going to the casino to spend time with his wife, hoping to hit the big jackpot one day.  He always dreamed of owning a 1960s Ford Mustang; we all know he's looking down on us doing his daily husband, dad, and grandfather duties, ensuring everything goes smoothly as he drives the Mustang of his dreams up in heaven.

Anyone who knew Bruce knew he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Bruce is survived by his wife, Cindy (Bauer); daughter and son-in-law, Heidi (Jeremy) Skinner, Jessie Bauer; Daughter and Son-in-law, Jenny Bauer (Wayne Sys); and eight grandchildren; his brothers, Tommy (Barbara) Bauer, Danny (Joni) Bauer, Richard Bauer (Charlene Olson-Bussey), Terry Bauer, many nieces and nephews and one great-granddaughter (Nova Rayne Bauer).

Preceded in death by Bernadette (Mother), Leslie Bauer (father), Dena Rahe (sister), Timothy Bauer (brother), and Brian Bauer (brother)

You will always be loved and missed. We all love you and will never stop.

R.I.P. Bruce, till we meet again, keep a brew cold for us.

Aka, mustang2516, ride easy; we got this from here, you rest. Thanks for the time we spent with you and all the knowledge you taught us along the way!  Wait, did Bruce yell for a cup of coffee? As the room echoes, Bri, Morgan, Dustin, Dano, and Fallyn get PAPA a cup of coffee.
